Construction of the road over bridge (ROB) near Fort Railway Station in the city is expected to be completed by August 2027, Tiruchi MP Durai Vaiko said on Tuesday.

Mr.Durai Vaiko, who inspected the progress of the construction of the ROBs currently underway in the city along with officials of the government departments and agencies involved, said though the construction of the ROB was delayed due to issues in land acquisition and later due to lack of coordination between Railways and the State Highways Department, the project works were progressing as scheduled now.

The ROB is coming up across the level crossing situated between Srirangam and Town Railway Stations on Tiruchi-Chennai Chord Line in the city. The project was sanctioned in 2022.
