Road in Mayo town will be closed for a year
A stretch of Chapel Road in Crossmolina, Ireland, will be closed for one year starting October 1 to facilitate a major flood relief project. The €34 million scheme aims to protect the town from recurring severe flooding that has devastated local properties in the past.

Mayo County Council say part of Chapel Road will be closed to traffic to allow for works on the River Deel Flood Relief Scheme.
The closure will be place from October 1 this year, until September 30, 2027.
