RNZ poll: Did National make the wrong call keeping Luxon?
A recent RNZ-Reid Research poll indicates that a majority of New Zealand voters disagree with the National Party's decision to retain Christopher Luxon as leader. While National supporters remain loyal, voters from other parties and the general public express significant disapproval.

National's decision to stick with Christopher Luxon appears at odds with the wider public, with more voters saying the caucus got it wrong than right.
The latest RNZ-Reid Research poll gauged voters' views on National's emergency caucus meeting two weeks ago, where a majority of MPs opted to keep Luxon as leader, foiling a bid to replace him.
Asked whether that was the right call, 45.4 percent of respondents said no, compared with 36.8 percent who said yes.
National supporters were the most likely to support Luxon, with 78 percent endorsing his continued leadership, against just 11.5 percent who disagreed.
ACT voters were less emphatic - with 54.2 percent in support of the decision to keep Luxon and 28.7 percent opposed.
In contrast, New Zealand First voters leant against Luxon staying on, with 52.4 percent saying National MPs made the wrong decision, compared with 31.6 percent who backed them.
