RINL strengthens canteen facilities across Visakhapatnam Steel Plant
Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) is upgrading canteen facilities across its Visakhapatnam Steel Plant to improve hygiene and infrastructure for its workforce. The initiative covers 17 major canteens and 200 extension points serving thousands of employees daily.

Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP), has intensified efforts to upgrade its welfare infrastructure by strengthening canteen facilities across all major production, operational, and administrative zones of the plant.
Operating a network of 17 major canteens across key production units including the mills, Steel Melting Shop (SMS), blast furnace, expansion areas, and the administration building, the plant serves affordable and hygienic meals daily. Additionally, nearly 200 extension points deliver food directly to active work locations. On average, 4,000 personnel, both regular employees and contract workers, utilise the canteen services daily, supported by a workforce of around 250 personnel deployed through specialised catering agencies.
