RIL Q2 FY27: Profit falls 22% after Asian Paints gain; revenue rises 25% YoY

Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) on Friday reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 20,946 crore for the first quarter, marking a 22% year-on-year decline. The drop was mainly attributable to an exceptional gain arising from the sale of its stake in Asian Paints during the corresponding quarter last year. The company had reported a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 26,994 crore in the year-ago period.Revenue from operations rose 25% year-on-year to Rs 3.11 lakh crore in the June quarter, compared with Rs 2.48 lakh crore in the same quarter last year. Quarterly EBITDA increased 10% from a year earlier to Rs 54,067 crore."Reliance has made a steady start to FY27, with all businesses delivering strong operating performance.
