With a view to bridging the gap between the pharma industry and academia, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) unveiled a revised BPharm syllabus, becoming the first government university in India to do so, according to a release.
RGUHS Vice-Chancellor, Bhagavan B.C., said, “The revised syllabus is developed in line with the latest standards of the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), and the new curriculum is designed to meet the changing needs of pharmacy education.”
“The healthcare sector is changing rapidly due to advancements in technology, evolving patient needs, and continuous innovations in medical and pharmaceutical sciences,” he said, adding that these changes make it essential to strengthen pharmacy education and support the growth of the pharmaceutical industry.
