A review meeting was held on Tuesday in connection with the preparations for the consecration of Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple in Madurai.
The meeting was presided over by Madurai Collector Nishant Krishna. Commissioner of Police S. Rajendran, Superintendent of Police N. Devanathan, Corporation Commissioner Gaurav Kumar and other officials were present.
Police officials were instructed to ensure adequate security arrangements were in place for devotees. CCTV cameras should be installed and control rooms should be set up to ensure safety.
Precautionary measures should be taken to prevent overcrowding and traffic congestion. Temporary parking arrangements should be made to regulate vehicles. LED screens should be installed at strategic locations to enable the public to view the ceremony.
