Retired government employees’ convention in Dharwad on Sept. 28

More than 1,000 retired government employees from the seven districts of the Belagavi (Kittur Karnataka) Revenue Division are expected to attend a one-day convention in Dharwad on September 28.

Addressing a press conference in Dharwad on Wednesday, president of the Dharwad district unit of the Karnataka State Government Retired Employees’ Association, S.B. Patil Nalawadi, and general secretary Guru Tigadi said the convention would be held at Dr. P.H. Pujar Sabhabhavana of Karnatak Vidyavardhak Sangha from 9 a.m.

Assembly Speaker G.S. Patil will inaugurate the convention, while district in-charge Minister Santosh Lad and All India Primary Teachers’ Federation president Basavaraj Gurikar will felicitate achievers and senior members. State president of the Retired Employees’ Association L. Bhairappa will preside over the event.
