Residents of Naganendal have petitioned the district administration to introduce bus services to their village. The lack of transport forces schoolchildren to walk long distances and hinders farmers from transporting their produce to local markets.

This highlights the critical infrastructure gaps in rural connectivity that directly impact education access and local agricultural economic viability.
A group of residents, including children, from Naganendal submitted a petition to district administration seeking bus services to their villages for the benefit of schoolchildren and farmers.
A resident, A. Dhavamurugan (40) said that at least 40 students were studying in a school in nearby Mustakurichi, which is 4.5 km away from Naganendal.
“Our children have to walk with bags for two km to reach the bus stop on Meenakshipuram - Mustakurichi road. Only if they reach the bus stop on time, they would catch the bus and reach the school on time. Otherwise, they will have to walk another 2.5 km,” he added.
Similarly, another 15 students were studying in the Government Higher Secondary School in Kariyapatti. These students have to travel for 10 km.
