Residents protest delay in Teegalaguttapalli ROB works in Karimnagar

Residents of Karimnagar staged a protest against the delayed construction of a Road Over Bridge (ROB) at Teegalaguttapalli. The protesters claim the slow progress of the project is causing significant traffic congestion and hardship for commuters.
Why it matters
Infrastructure delays are a common point of friction in local governance, impacting daily economic activity and public safety.
Aggrieved residents of the 2 nd and 3 rd divisions of Karimnagar Municipal Corporation (KMC) staged a dharna near the railway track at Teegalaguttapalli in Karimnagar on Sunday, protesting the alleged inordinate delay in completion of the Road Over Bridge (ROB) near the railway station.
The dharna was organised under the aegis of the 3 rd Division Congress Committee.
The protesters alleged that the tardy progress of the ₹154-crore ROB, taken up under the Central government’s Setu Bandhan programme, was causing severe traffic problems on the Karimnagar-Choppadandi main road.
