Residents of three south Chennai zones will not receive piped water supply for 24 hours

Residents of three south Chennai zones will not receive piped water supply from 9 a.m. on October 10 to 9 a.m. on October 11, as Chennai Metrowater plans to carry out maintenance works at Nemmeli desalination plant, which has a capacity to treat 110 million litres a day of seawater.
A press release said areas, including Indira Nagar, Kottivakkam, Neelankarai, Sholinganallur, and Kottur Garden, falling under Adyar, Perungudi, and Sholinganallur zones will not receive piped water supply. Metrowater has requested residents to store water in advance and book water tankers online for emergency needs.
