Renovation works at Karuziika palace start
Renovation work has begun at the Karuziika royal palace in Uganda following the death of King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV. The UPDF engineering brigade is managing the infrastructure improvements to accommodate mourners.

________________ The renovation works at Karuziika royal palace have commenced today (August 31) as Tooro kingdom awaits the remains of the deceased King, Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV. The renovation works, which are being done by the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) engineering brigade, involve reconstruction of the road leading to the palace. King Oyo was pronounced dead on Thursday evening (August 27), and since then, his subjects have been thronging the palace to mourn his demise. A number of activities have been taking place at the palace since his demise . The head of the royal clan, Omusuga Charles Kamurasi, said they are expecting very many visitors.
