The renovation works, which are being done by the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) engineering brigade, involve reconstruction of the road leading to the palace. King Oyo was pronounced dead on Thursday evening (August 27), and since then, his subjects have been thronging the palace to mourn his demise. A number of activities have been taking place at the palace since his demise . The head of the royal clan, Omusuga Charles Kamurasi, said they are expecting very many visitors.
