Renovated holistic wellness centre inaugurated
The Tamil Nadu Health Minister inaugurated a renovated holistic wellness centre at the Arignar Anna Government Hospital of Indian Medicine. The government is also promoting wellness tourism and has released the merit list for various AYUSH medical courses for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Health Minister K.G. Arunraj on Friday inaugurated a renovated holistic wellness centre on the campus of Arignar Anna Government Hospital of Indian Medicine. The facility, which will offer wellness and rehabilitative therapies for lifestyle-related conditions based on traditional systems of medicine, was renovated at a cost of Rs. 10 lakhs.
He told mediapersons that “Rejuvenation Therapy” was introduced at the government’s International Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy Medical Science, Chengalpattu. Under this, patients can stay at the facility for 10 to 15 days and undergo treatment based on traditional systems of medicine. It has 28 beds and facilities including food and accommodation. Dr. Arunraj said that steps are being taken to promote wellness tourism in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation.
