SENAPATI, AUGUST 28: The mortal remains of four persons killed on Thursday in between Makui Ashang and Thanamba Naga in Kangpokpi district by suspected Kuki armed groups reached Senapati District Hospital on Friday morning after their movement was reportedly stopped at T Waichong, a Kuki village.

The Kangpokpi SP visited the spot to assess the situation, following which the bodies were allowed to proceed this morning under CRPF escort.

The mortal remains were first received by civil society organisations (CSOs) of Senapati at Thonglang Atongba, a Liangmei village, at around 8:30 am. The village authority presented four shawls for the deceased during the reception.
