MANILA, Philippines - As the grand coronation night of the inaugural Reina Filipinas approaches, several candidates reflected on what inspired them to join the pageant and shared why they believe they deserve to wear the crown.
Ahead of the finals on Aug. 7 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, The STAR caught up with the beauty queens during a gym training session at Fitness 8 on Quezon Ave., where they talked about their pageant journeys, personal motivations and aspirations for the crown.
Under the newly launched local pageant, one candidate will be crowned Reina Filipinas Grand International, also known as Miss Grand Philippines, and two titleholders for Reina Filipinas All Stars, who will represent the Philippines at the international edition of Miss Grand International (MGI) All Stars.
