All rehabilitation projects for survivors of the Mundakkai-Chooralmala landslides will be completed in a time-bound manner, Agriculture Minister T. Siddique has said.

He was inaugurating the distribution of additional financial assistance sanctioned from the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF) for the Micro Plan project being implemented through the Kudumbashree Mission to support the livelihood needs of the survivors at a function held in Kalpetta on Friday (August 21).

Mr. Siddique said the list of beneficiaries for the rehabilitation of disaster-affected people would be finalised in a time-bound manner. Compensation for traders and building owners who suffered losses in the landslides, as well as the takeover of existing loans and making agricultural land cultivable, would also be completed on schedule, he added.

“The government, district administration and local self-government institutions are providing all possible support to help the survivors rebuild their lives with confidence,” the Minister said.
