Reggie McFadden has died at the age of 57.
The In Living Colour actor, who was also known for his work on Def Comedy Jam , died in Tanzania, where he had lived for the past 18 years.
His sister, author Bernice McFadden, confirmed the news to TMZ after the family were contacted by the US State Department to inform them of the death.
She said the State Department didn’t reveal when or how he died, while Reggie McFadden had been estranged from his relatives over “family s***”.
The comedian, who grew up in Brooklyn, New York, started his stand-up career aged 18 and honed his skills in coffee houses around Manhattan as a way to avoid the projects.
