Red Run top performers share N$70 000 in prizes

With 2 600 participants, the 2026 Bank Windhoek Red Run delivered a memorable showcase of endurance, determination and community spirit as athletes competed in the 10km and 21km runs in the capital on Sunday.
Bank Windhoek in a statement says that top performers shared N$70 000 in cash prizes.
The event brought together professional, seasoned and social runners, junior athletes, veterans, masters and grand masters, reflecting the inclusive and competitive spirit of the Bank Windhoek Red Run.
In the 21km men’s overall category, Jeremia Shaliaxwe claimed first place in a time of 1:11:49.08, followed by Tangeni Sakaria in 1:12:49.03 and Matheus Kadhingula in 1:13:25.86.
In the women’s overall race, Anna Amutoko led the pack with a winning time of 1:28:33.24, ahead of Jolynde Human in 1:34:39.21 and Maike Epler in 1:37:39.99.
