‘Red Run’ Marathon organised in Bagalkot to create awareness on HIV/AIDS
A 5km 'Red Run' marathon was held in Bagalkot, Karnataka, to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS. The event saw participation from nearly 100 college students and was organized by various local health and youth departments.

Red Run Marathon, a five km run, was held in Bagalkot on Wednesday to create awareness about HIV/AIDs.
S.C. Patil, District Leprosy Control Officer, flagged off the district-level run for college students, in front of the District Administration Complex.
A total of 98 students, aged between 17 and 25, from various degree and professional colleges across the district participated in the marathon.
Prateek Deganvi, Abubakar Kadabi and Ajit Damadi secured the top positions among men, and Meenakshi Chalavannavar, Sushmita Sulikeri and Sunita Prakash Gundali won prizes among women.
The students who secured the first place at the district level qualified for the State-level marathon competition. The winners at the district level were awarded cash prizes - ₹5,000 for first place, ₹3,500 for second place, and ₹2,500 for third place - along with certificates of merit.
