NEW DELHI: West Bengal chief minister Suvendu Adhikari on Sunday said the situation in the state had changed, asserting that people could now recite the Bhagavad Gita "fearlessly".The first BJP chief minister of Bengal made the remarks at a Bhagavad Gita recital event in Kolkata, where around 11,000 people recited the scripture in unison.CM Suvendu said his government would protect 'gaumata' and take action against those who insult monks, while emphasising that "the winds have changed" in the state."Recite and distribute the Bhagavad Gita, distribute Hanuman Chalisa without any hesitation.
