‘Real Kashmir Football Club’ gets nominated for International Emmys; Vir Das creates history with third nomination

The nominations for the International Emmy Awards 2026 were announced on Wednesday (September 24, 2026). India has earned two nominations with Sony LIV’s Real Kashmir Football Club getting nominated in the Drama Series category while Vir Das ’ stand-up special, Fool Volume , got the nod in Comedy category.

For Vir Das, it is the third nomination at the International Emmys, making him the only Indian to be nominated thrice for the awards. His first nomination was in 2021 for his Netflix special Vir Das: For India , and his second nomination was in 2023 for his special Vir Das: Landing, for which he won an Emmy .
