Why it matters
These letters reflect common public grievances regarding transportation, consumer safety, and environmental compliance in regional India.
Readers Mail: Dindigul edition When will the Vandhe Bharat be commissioned Though the Railway Board approved introduction of superfast day express ‘Vandhe Bharat’ between Chennai and Rameswaram long back and in spite of the fact that even the time-table for the train was published recently, it is difficult to understand the inordinate delay in this regard. It was anxiously expected by the public that our Prime Minister Narendra Modi would inaugurate this dream train of late President APJ Abdul Kalam, during his recent visit to Chennai. I would appeal to the Union Railway Minister to make this train a reality. If inaugurated now, that will help passengers to enjoy Dasara and Deepavali festivals through easy transportation to their respective destinations.
