Oracle's second mass layoff of 2026 came with a message its employees had already read once. The termination email that reached staff on Monday, signed "Oracle Leadership", carried the same opening, the same reasoning and the same instructions as the note sent on March 31. Employees who had kept screenshots from the first round posted both versions side by side on Reddit, Blind and X. Apart from the date, they found nothing to tell them apart.The email runs to about 250 words and settles everything in its second paragraph. The role is gone, the decision followed "careful consideration" of business needs, and the working day on which it arrives is the last one.
