Re-verification of Gruha Lakshmi beneficiaries to begin in 10 days: H.M. Revanna

The State government will begin the re-verification of beneficiaries under the Gruha Lakshmi scheme and collect their biometrics within 10 days. It will take another month to complete the ongoing re-verification of Gruha Jyoti beneficiaries, H.M. Revanna, chairman of the State-level Guarantee Scheme Implementation Committee, said in Mangaluru on Tuesday.
Talking to reporters at the Circuit House, H.M. Revanna said that since the launch of the Gruha Lakshmi scheme on August 30, 2023, under which women heads of families receive ₹2,000 a month, a total of ₹76,951 crore has been transferred to the accounts of 1.23 crore beneficiaries till June 2026. In Dakshina Kannada, 3.53 lakh beneficiaries have received ₹2,230.65 crore. The pending instalments for February and March will be released shortly, he said.
