Como begin on the front foot, pressing high and putting our boys under pressure from the outset. The first chances fell to Cesc Fàbregas ' side.

Maarten Vandevoordt produced a fine save to deny Anastasios Douvikas in the 13th minute , but the goalkeeper was beaten two minutes later. Martin Baturina was able to get a shot away from close range inside the penalty area and found the back of the net to put Como 1-0 ahead (15') .

RBL almost responded immediately. Straight from the restart, Antonio Nusa found himself one-on-one with Como goalkeeper Jean Butez after getting on the end of a long ball, but his finish was too central and Butez made the save (16').
