Rayachoti in Annamayya district is set for a major infrastructure push, with 68 civic works worth ₹10.84 crore launched across the municipal limits on Wednesday, in addition to projects worth ₹227 crore in the pipeline.

Minister for Transport, Sports and Youth Services Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy performed bhumi puja for the works here, which include CC roads, drains and other basic infrastructure. The works would be executed with the 15th Finance Commission funds, LRS-BPS and Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan (SCSP) grants.

Speaking to the media, the Minister said that a ₹35-crore project covering roads, parks, streetlights and central dividers was also being expedited, with the Andhra Pradesh Urban Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation (APUFIDC) tender process expected to be completed by September 22.
