Rawat police arrest man for allegedly luring woman from Bangkok, raping her

RAWALPINDI - Rawat police here on Saturday said that they arrested a man for allegedly raping a woman who was brought to Pakistan from Bangkok on the promise of marriage.
The police said that they arrested Amir Sohail, native of Layyah, for allegedly raping Noor Munawar, native of Dadu in Sindh. The police said that the arrested man would be produced before a court of law with solid evidence for successful prosecution.
In her FIR, Noor alleged that she met Amir some two years ago in Bangkok and both became friends. She said that Amir promised that he would marry her after they return to Pakistan. She said that some four months ago they came to Pakistan and started living in a flat in Rawalpindi.
