However, the family drama seems to have landed in controversy. As per the latest reports, the Andhra Pradesh Teachers’ Federation raised objections to some scenes in the film.‘Irumudi’ faces controversyAccording to a report by Gulte, the federation says that scenes show government schools and teachers in a negative way. APTF has asked the makers to remove the scenes and apologise to the teaching community. APTF State President Chennupati Manjula and General Secretary Basavalingarao issued a joint statement about the matter. The association said that films can have a strong effect on how people think about social issues.
