POLICE have warned members of the public against job offers on social media after a 27-year-old woman from Gokwe was allegedly robbed and gang-raped in Harare’s Kuwadzana suburb.
The incident occurred on September 14, 2026.
Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) national spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident and said investigations are underway.
“The ZRP urges members of the public to exercise caution when responding to unsolicited job offers or engaging with strangers on social media and to verify the identities and credentials of individuals offering employment or other services,” said Commissioner Nyathi.
