Rangayana’s nine-day theatre fiesta to add colour to Dasara

A nine-day theatre and folk-art fiesta will add a cultural dimension to the Mysuru Dasara celebrations, with Rangayana hosting Navaratri Rangotsava-2026 from October 11 to 19 at its Bhoomigeetha Rangamandira.
The festival, organised as part of the ‘Nada Habba’ festivities, will feature a series of theatre productions and performances of various folk-art forms, offering theatre and art lovers a cultural treat during the festival season.
Kannada and Culture Minister Shivaraj S. Thangadagi will inaugurate the festival at 5 p.m. on October 11. A photographic exhibition showcasing Rangayana’s theatre productions will also be inaugurated by Kannada and Culture Department secretary Manjushree.
Mysuru Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikantha Reddy, Kannada and Culture Department director K.M. Vasundhara and joint director of the department’s Mysuru division Nirmala Mathapati will be among the chief guests.
