Days of Thunder star Randy Quaid has taken aim at Tom Cruise in a bizarre rant, slamming the actor for making a “horrible choice” casting Anne Hathaway and not including his ex-wife, Nicole Kidman, in the film follow-up.

Cruise hit headlines when he announced over the weekend that he and Hathaway would be starring in the sequel to the 1990 action classic, which he will also produce alongside Jerry Bruckheimer and Tommy Harper.

Hathaway is believed to be taking on the role of a race team owner and engineer in the movie, which is due for release on June 2, 2028, but Quaid – who played Tim Daland in the original film – made it clear in a series of social media posts that he’s not on board with her casting.
