Keralam Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala has been selected for this year’s award instituted by the A. Pachan Foundation in memory of freedom fighter, social reformer and a leader of Indian National Congress and of various Dalit organisations A. Pachan. The awardee was chosen by a three-member jury comprising senior journalist S. Sudheesan, political thinker T.K. Vinodan, and High Court advocate P.S. Baiju. The award will be presented on October 23, the death anniversary of A. Pachan.
