Ramesan Paleri, the chairman of the Uralungal Labour Contract Cooperative Society in Kerala, has passed away at the age of 66. He was a prominent figure in one of Asia's largest cooperative societies.

Ramesan Paleri, chairman of Vadakara-based Uralungal Labour Contract Cooperative Society Ltd. (ULCCS) in Kozhikode, Kerala, one of the largest cooperative societies in Asia, passed away on Monday (July 28, 2026) morning. He was 66.
He had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu.
His body will be taken to Kozhikode in the evening.
The last rites will be performed on Wednesday.
