'Rakstivāls' festival champions writing this weekend

This year, creative activities in Līgatne will await their authors on August 9. Writer and festival organizer Inga Žolude will talk about the broad boundaries of writing while poet Pēteris Draguns, will give a lecture "Inspiration and Sweat in the Creation of Poetry" at "Rakstivāla". "We want to go in all directions, expand the horizons of how we look at writing. That is why it is not a festival of writing, but a festival of writing," Inga Žolude told Latvian Radio. "Writing is a process that cannot focus solely on the author and his or her person. This festival features various workshops and opportunities that allow you to gain ideas not only about what to write, but also how to write," Draguns believes.
