Rajnath Singh to review performance of 16 DPSUs; turnover rises 15.4% to ₹1.29 lakh crore

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will undertake the annual performance review of all 16 Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs) in New Delhi on Tuesday (August 31, 2026), with a focus on accelerating indigenous technology development, modernisation and defence exports.
According to the Defence Ministry, the review comes against the backdrop of a strong financial performance by the DPSUs during 2025-26, with their combined turnover rising 15.4% year-on-year to ₹1.29 lakh crore.
The cumulative Profit After Tax of the DPSUs stood at ₹23,136 crore during FY 2025-26, registering a growth of 15.6% over the previous financial year. Defence PSUs also recorded a sharp increase in exports, which grew by 151.2% compared to FY 2024-25, it added.
