The Rajiv Rahadari Property Owners’ Joint Action Committee (JAC) has announced a one-day hunger strike on Tuesday against the proposed widening of Rajiv Rahadari and the ongoing land acquisition process for the elevated corridor project, alleging that authorities have failed to address the concerns of affected property owners. The protest will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ambedkar Statue in Karkhana.
According to the JAC, several affected property owners have approached the Telangana High Court, challenging aspects of the road widening and land acquisition process. The committee alleged that the government had not yet filed its counter in the pending petitions, even as Collectorate officials were continuing with the land acquisition process.
