Raja Raja Chola’s Sathya Vizha on October 21 and 22

The 1,041st Sathaya Vizha, commemorating the birth anniversary of emperor Raja Raja Chola, is scheduled for October 21 and 22 at the Sri Brahadeeswarar Temple in Thanjavur. District authorities have declared a local holiday on October 22 to facilitate the festival, with compensatory working hours scheduled for November 14.

The 1,041st “Sathaya Vizha” organised to commemorate the birth anniversary of emperor Raja Raja Chola will be held at Sri Brahadeeswarar Temple in Thanjavur on October 21 and 22, Collector R. Revathi said in a press release.
The Collector on Friday chaired a coordination meeting with officials of various departments to discuss the arrangements for the festival.
