MANILA, Philippines - Metro Manila and other parts of the country are expected to experience generally fair weather, with chances of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms on Monday due to the southwest monsoon, or habagat, according to the state weather bureau.
In its morning update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the habagat is forecast to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the following areas:

"This southwest monsoon will continue to affect our country for the next two to three days," Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said in Filipino.
