Railways alter train services due to Bengaluru yard remodelling work

The Central Railway has announced temporary service changes for trains to and from Kalaburagi due to yard remodelling at KSR Bengaluru station. Several Vande Bharat Express services will be short-terminated at Yelahanka, and specific weekly express trains have been cancelled.

The Central Railway has announced temporary changes in train services affecting passengers travelling to and from Kalaburagi due to non-interlocking (NI) work being undertaken for yard remodelling at KSR Bengaluru railway station.
According to a press release issued by the Solapur Division, the Bengaluru Division of South Western Railway will undertake traffic blocks from July 31 and August 1 to August 3 and 4 to facilitate the infrastructure upgrade.
As part of the changes, Train No. 22231 Kalaburagi-SMVT Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express, commencing its journey on August 1, 2 and 3, will be short-terminated at Yelahanka instead of SMVT Bengaluru.
Similarly, Train No. 22232 SMVT Bengaluru-Kalaburagi Vande Bharat Express, commencing its journey on August 1, 2 and 3, will originate from Yelahanka at its scheduled departure time instead of SMVT Bengaluru.
