The Mysuru division of South Western Railway organised a one-day training for visually impaired employees with the objective of enhancing their efficiency in day-to-day official work through the effective use of accessible digital tools and office applications.
The programme focused on providing practical demonstrations and guidance on various digital platforms and office applications used in railway offices. The training covered HRMS (Human Resource Management System), e-Office (file creation, movement, noting and correspondence), UMID (Unique Medical Identity Card), preparation of official notes and letters, Microsoft Word and Excel, keyboard shortcuts and accessibility features for efficient office work.
The programme was inaugurated by Shammas Hameed, ADRM, Mysuru. Shirish S. Kamble, senior DPO, Mysuru, and other railway officials and staff were present.
