Raila’s story to be projected on KICC as nationwide candlelight tributes begin

KICC building/COURTESY The story of the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga will be projected on the iconic KICC tower in Nairobi from 7 pm today as his supporters mark the beginning of a month dedicated to his memory.
The projection will form part of nationwide candlelight ceremonies being held by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) to honour Raila, popularly known as Baba.
Raila’s widow, Ida Odinga, has called on Kenyans from all walks of life to turn out in large numbers and participate in the candlelight events being held across the country from 6 pm.
She described the lighting of candles as an important way of honouring Raila as the country enters the month in which he died.
Ida said Kenyans should participate wherever they are and help illuminate the country in memory of the former Prime Minister.
