Rail users associations seek daily passenger trains via Pattukottai and Aranthangi to Madurai and Tiruchi
Seven rail users associations in Tamil Nadu have collectively demanded the introduction of new daily passenger train services connecting various towns to Madurai, Tiruchi, and Tambaram. The groups plan to submit formal petitions to Southern Railway officials to address regional connectivity needs.

Seven rail users associations have unanimously demanded the Southern Railway to introduce daily passenger train services via Pattukottai and Aranthangi to Madurai, Tambaram and Tiruchi.
Organised by the Aranthangi Divisional Rail Users Association, a joint meeting of the associations was held at Aranthangi in Pudukottai district on Saturday. Office-bearers of the Karaikudi Chamber of Commerce, Pattukottai Rail Users Association, Madurai Division Rail Users Federation, Karaikudi Taluk Rail Passengers Welfare Association, Peravurani Rail Passengers Welfare Association, Pattukottai Rail Public Welfare Association, Adirampattinam Rail Users Association and Thillai Vilagam Rail Users’ Association participated.
Various railway related demands at the local level were discussed during the meeting that was chaired by the Aranthangi Divisional Rail Users Association president A.P. Raj Kumar. Among those who participated in the meeting included V. Viveganantham, president, Pattukottai Rail Users Association, and Sami Dravida Mani, chief advisor, Karaikudi Chamber of Commerce.
