Rahul, Priyanka, K.C. Venugopal meet Congress secretaries ahead of possible reshuffle

Ahead of a possible organisational reshuffle of All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretaries, senior party leader Rahul Gandhi , general secretary (organisation) K.C. Venugopal, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday (September 15, 2026) met several secretaries in batches.
These interactions have come in the form of interviews, where secretaries, after a brief interaction, are assessed on their performance, contribution to the organisation, and future plans.
Sources told The Hindu that Mr. Gandhi asked the secretaries about the problems they faced in the States they were handling, and whether they were receiving the support required to work effectively. He urged them to spend at least 15 days in their respective States.
The meetings, which lasted about half-an-hour for each batch, focussed on the nature of work being undertaken by the secretaries, their roles and responsibilities, and the time they were spending in the States assigned to them.
