Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi reached his parliamentary constituency Rae Bareli on Tuesday for a two-day visit during which he will take part in multiple events. Mr. Gandhi is scheduled to chair a meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee. The Congress leader is scheduled to meet bullion traders at Prabhu Town in the city and later meet office-bearers of the Central Bar Association as well as delegations of sportspersons, medical professionals and chemists. On Wednesday, Mr. Gandhi will inaugurate development works completed at a cost of ₹3 crore from his MP Local Area Development Scheme funds. State Congress leaders welcomed Mr. Gandhi at the Lucknow airport while he was enroute to Rae Bareli from New Delhi.
