Rahul Gandhi asks youth to keep protesting, says those who attacked Constitution will be defeated

Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi urged Indian youth to continue protesting against the current government, accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the RSS of attacking the Constitution. He framed the political struggle as a fight to protect democratic values and the voice of the people.
Why it matters
High-level political rhetoric regarding constitutional integrity and youth mobilization is a significant indicator of the current political climate in India.
Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Saturday (October 10, 2026) urged the youth to “keep protesting” and asserted that “we are going to ensure that this regime and the people who have attacked the Constitution are defeated”.
Mr. Gandhi, who is in Chennai for his Chhatron Ki Goonj event, also said the “core characteristic” of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the RSS is “cowardice”.
He said Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Shah, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval are slowly finding the space closing around them.
"I've been fighting Narendra Modi and the RSS for over a decade now. I understand them like you would understand your opponent -- inside out, like the back of my hand," Mr. Gandhi said on X.
