Raheem Sterling has arrived at court ahead of his first appearance accused of dangerous driving.

Former England footballer Sterling, 31, is charged with dangerous driving , possession of nitrous oxide for wrongful inhalation and failing to provide a specimen, over an incident on 28 May.

Sterling, from Berkshire, who has played for Liverpool , Manchester City , Chelsea and Arsenal in the Premier League, arrived at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court wearing black trousers, black shoes and a dark top.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary previously said the charges followed a single-vehicle collision on the M3 southbound, near Minley interchange, on May 28.

The force said that no other vehicles were involved and no injuries were reported.
