Think about the ability of doctors to use the patient’s genetic and clinical data to prescribe the treatment tailored specifically for the individual patient. It may sound like science fiction, but a new technological innovation named quantum computing is making it closer to our everyday life.
Quantum computing differs greatly from traditional computing. Modern computers process information based on the principle of bits – zeros and ones. Quantum computers use qubits which can make use of quantum mechanical effects like superposition and entanglement . Thus, quantum computers can solve specific problems which become increasingly complex in their nature.
