PWD Minister inspects road works at Hulikal Ghat

Sathish Jarkiholi, Minister for Public Works, on Tuesday, inspected the road safety works at Hulikal Ghat (State Highway 52) in Hosanagara taluk and instructed the officials to complete the works quickly without compromising on quality.
The Public Works Department has taken up the road safety works and the construction of the retaining wall in the ghat by spending about ₹5.35 crore. During the repair works, three construction workers died due to a landslip on April 9 this year. The incident delayed the repair work on the ghat. The movement of heavy vehicles had been prohibited on the stretch.
