Pundit says it would be ‘travesty’ if Harry Kane gets snubbed for Ballon d’Or

Former goalkeeper Paul Robinson argues that Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane deserves the Ballon d'Or due to his record-breaking goal tally. Despite competition from other stars, Robinson believes Kane's consistent performance makes him the clear choice for the award.
Why it matters
The Ballon d'Or is the most prestigious individual honor in football, and the debate highlights the metrics used to evaluate elite athletic performance.
Harry Kane's Ballon d'Or case is getting harder and harder to ignore.
Former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson, who earned 41 caps for the Three Lions and played more than 500 professional matches during a career that included Tottenham, Leeds United, and Blackburn Rovers, believes the Bayern Munich striker should be taking home the biggest individual prize in football.
Speaking to BBC Sport (as captured by @iMiaSanMia ), Robinson did not hold back.
"If Harry Kane doesn't win the Ballon d'Or, it's a travesty this year, surely. The competition is stiff, but there is nobody that has got figures like him," Robinson said.
And the numbers certainly make the argument compelling.
